Pain. Even with all my CX focused training, the pain was nice and present this AM. The super secret society of cyclocross freaks got up for our throw down this AM. 7:30 AM. Lots of dirt road power with attacks and the like. Make note to self. Do not attack Brandon and think you've got the gap and dropped him. Stupid me.

We essentially beat the crap out of each other for an 1:45 this AM throwing in mad 200ft run ups along the way for good measure. I like where I am at though. The body responded and I was in control and know where I need to improve. Brought smiles to my face, even in the light of feeling like I was going to sully my chamois.

...who are working their Taiwanese manufacturers into the production of some entry level CX bikes. You can see all of the intros for 08 by Colnago and Pinerello in this CyclingNews article, but of particular note is the picture of the cable routing for this cheap(er) Colnago. All top tube! I'm making reference to the post I did on opinions on cable routing found here.Sven's influence is certainly all over this design....vicariously through his influence over the c-50 version of the 'cross bike.

I think I have a "you heard it here first" news item: Durango's Tommy D will be in the argyle kit of Slipstream Sports next year. Let's just say I have it on first hand knowledge.

This is gonna be interesting. Tons of Boulder-ites in the mix here. I see these guys flying round town often. And now, Maggie, CVV, Millar, Tommy D...not quite sure what they are going to focus on but they could represent next year for sure if they can groom Will F and maybe Pate to do some damage in the short stage races like Paree Neeece or like. I think a 3 week'er is still a load for some of these youngings but a good roll at the Giro would be nice.

Anyhoo, i hope these guys take their squeaky clean blood and lay wood on those chumps in Euro-land.
