No place like it. It was great to be back to the Bay Area as a family but even better to be home. Great to see everything and everyone during our trip and especially cool to take my boys on the beach on a sort of overcast and very classic San Francisco day. They loved it. My lady was smiles.

Along the way, driving in our rental family truckster (and staying totally Zen in the atrociously bad Bay Area traffic), we reflected on how unbelievably different we are now since we left SF and arrived in Boulder. Blessed. The kids and the whole family are thriving here. Sitting in our kitchen in SF the day we made the decision to move to the mountains was huge. We've never looked back. If you are pondering these types of decisions, take the Nestea plunge. The universe will get your back if you haven't f'd with it to much.

Saw Evan today randomly on my way back to Oak-town for BART. GREAT to see you man. Congrats on the bambino man.

Anyhoo, back home and back at it tomorrow. Gotta burn the tired and travel out with a long ride. I need it.

Well I am getting some mileage from the two 'test' photos I took during the master's race at the Boulder USGP. I'll have to shoot the whole thing at this year's event. Oh, right, we don't get a this year. Do I need to remind you how much this sucks? Waaaaah.

Hey Greg,
If you like bikes and The Bay you should check out my movie, KLUNKERZ, about the history of the mountain bike. It focuses on Marin and the surrounding areas from 1968-1983. You can find out more at www.klunkerz.com and don't forget to sign the 'guest book'. You've got a great blog. Ride on!

Hey Bill! Super cool! I have heard about your flick and am dying to see it. Glad it premiered at Sunshine in Fiarfax! Know that shop well (and where I used to buy my passes for Tamerancho!). Glad you like the blog and indeed, I love the bike, homie. Especially if the bike has drop bars and knobby tires.

Greg,

A great post. The life choices you speak about are common for all of us. We have more than bikes in common.

Radio! Thanks brother. Bikes are bikes and they mean a lot to my life and that of my family, but rather that posture or preach (this is supposed to be a FUN blog to release from the schwag of the day! I'll just say this: This shit we're living is NOT a dress rehearsal man. I would just assume spending my life talking about potty humor and stupid pet tricks and getting a laugh but the reality is some shit head could make the decision to comandeer the 777 you are on, sitting in a middle seat next to a guy who's running a fever and hacking, on your way home from some shitty business trip and make your day even worse by flying it into a tall building. I'm no doomsdayer, but my family and I ain't waiting for bad news to happen either to wake up and try and fix shit. Live it right now.
