Carbon Rim Analysis
Here' s a particularly interesting article Evan sent to me over the weekend. He and I ten to geek out on this stuff. It focuses on Reynolds carbon rims but I think is interesting enough to see the progress being made to bring carbon to the masses (although I need to understand more about this 'world wide shortage of carbon weave....").
Got my FSA's hooked up this weekend. Nice a squeely for now until I build up a layer of brake gunk. Same as last year. GOD I love those rims.

Mind sharing the specs on your pit wheels? thinking of building something similar as opposed to prebuilt Mavic SLs...
Thanks!
I've tried and used everything but in all honestly, the best all around wheel, regardless of course, is a hand built wheel with bomber 3 cross lacing. You can still make 'em nice and light but a great wheel builder will make them indestructible. As for my training/pit wheels, i generally run Mavic open pro ceramics with DT/Swiss butted spokes. I think DT Hugi make the best hubs known to man so run them wherever I can. This said, if you can get a deal on them (and likely you will now that their next generation are coming out), Ksyrium SL's after 2004 are fantastic. Light and super strong. But I woudl rather have a stable of hand built wheels than some Ksyriums.
