Travel cases in za house

My team mate G-Pent's wife Cari TOTALLY dialed me with a Tri All double-wide travel case and wheel case for the journey over seas. THANK YOU SO MUCH YOU GUYS!

I've got to get these things trial-packed. Anyone ever use this set up? Any gotchas (besides what I am going to have to pay United??). They look bomber and are pretty straight forward with wheel mounts inside. It looks like merely seat , wheel and pedals need to come off but I am suspect on the bars being able to be left on.

Anywhoo:

ONE WEEK LEFT! YEE HAW!

There shouldn't be as much of a gotcha with United since you are traveling overseas. Bikes don't get gigged the same was as domestic flights. They will stick you for excess baggage charges on weight. (there is always catch). Good luck

Jon:
I will have a picture of you affixed to my stem. In a tutu. You will be my motivation.

G:
You rule.

Chuckie:
When you inhale the Tester's model airplane glue next time, only hold 6 seconds in the paper bag, not the 15 you clear have when you wrote this.

Evan:
I think I see what you mean. I will likely only have two wheels in there, not 3 so I should be OK.

watch those cases. they'll take a pile of shin skin off if you're not careful.

UPS/Fedex have lost far more of my bikes than the airlines. Not to mention, going to Belgium? It'd be in customs for 6 months.

Keller,
I am excited for you brha, can't wait to get the low down, it's killing me. This sport is like crack - can't get enough. ust got Superprestige 1-4 and can't stop watching. I have traveled to the Vaderland a few years ago, had good luck with UAL and Luftansa, have a hard-case bike box. If you need one for your spare let me know, it's yours.

Don't count 100% on that wheel case. I have had a disc and race wheels demolished as well as the case by the airport gorillas before. The clamp was sheared off and then the case put on the side and something put on top of it. I ended up taking AA to small claims and won a settlement. I would pad heavily between wheels and duct tape over the clams on both cases.

PLUS fragile stickers.
