The new age is here
Watch Danny MacAskill closely. This is the next wave of freeriding and it is so far advanced it's hard to conteemplate riding getting any better or more advanced. But it does. We evolve. This, to me is all of the smoothness slopestyle and BMX has to offer combined with the best of the ballsiest huck-style freeriding....all with skills so far beyond it's breathtaking.
And yes, that's Band of Horses.

That was an amazing video. I saw that Bikesnob NYC also had this posted today.
wow. just wow.
I was looking at this on Monday, sick sick sick and wrong wrong wrong... I wish I had handling skills (skillz?) like that!
I agree that the rider pulls of some incredible stunts, but would hesitate to call it the next wave of freeriding. More like advanced urban trials riding:

There's a huge world out there of guys who build up wacky seatless bicycles and dedicate days to perfecting these and similar moves and go largely unnoticed by the cycling community. They sort of fall into a pop culture trough between the waves of BMX, skateboarding and urban fixie riding. Check out an observed trials event some time, or maybe invite one to the VBP!
