Rocking the Discos! | Singlespeed Chain Guide
Check it! My main man Whit-J dialed me into a pair of Discos he'd made (I believe with T-Brown) back in the day. I need to get the whole history of their genesis and I'll update this post. A few years ago, they cranked out these ingenious guides in Ti and carbon (and maybe aluminum?) which all but prevent chains from jumping. I'm honored to have a set! I used a combination of full spaces and 'sliver' spacers as the carbon itself is slightly thinner than the aluminum spacers.
Anyways, friggin' trick! Check it!

I've not noticed a need for a chain guide on the rear cog, but it sure looks cool and can't hurt at all, I'd think! (Might be that I just don't ride the SS hard enough, too!)
I made a boat load of these for TB, along with various chainring guards for cross and mtb bikes. I still have 1 of the rear discos (unfortunatley only one, not a pair). I believe Travis had the Ti ones done overseas, and I cut a lot of carbon and a few aluminum ones for him about 4 or 5 years ago. - joed (Primus Mootry)
Joe D! Whatup! You know, I have a set of your 110bct chain ring guides as we speak for one of my cross bikes! Bomber. Absolutely, bomber. I have no idea how I ended up with 'em! Ha!
The link is dead.
Hmm. It is! I've removed it and will figure out whatup. Thanks!
joed (Primus Mootry) indeed made the Carbon Iron Cross Discos for T-Brown. They're sweet! I had nothing to do with that. However, T and I made the regular old plastic Discos for awhile but have since stopped although I still have a ton of them as well as the spacers that Wheels Mfg made (http://magnoliaroad.net/~whit/Discos.htm). There are some other random offcamber.com links to the Discos too in cyberspace but please don't "Buy Now" on the above or other links. Although if you're interested send me an email, it'd be great to offload the rest of these things! T got about 80 of the Titanium ones made in China but they're all gone, it was a one time thing.
Anybody remember the CD, yes music CD, spacers ect... Whoopdie, but if Travis Brown tested/created.
